Associate Professor Christopher Chen (Core Lead)

Associate Professor Christopher Chen is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Psychological Medicine at NUH and an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at NUS. He studies the neurochemistry, molecular biology and treatment of dementia and stroke.

Connie Teo Kee Ling

Ms Connie Teo has more than a decade’s experience in clinical research, particularly in studies of cognitive function and stroke. Her specific expertise is in patient recruitment, obtaining of regulatory approvals for clinical trials, and budget planning.

Dr Steven Villaraza

Dr Villaraza is a neurologist who performs clinical assessments for the core, including reviewing eligibility criteria, obtaining medical histories and informed consent, performing physical examinations, and reporting adverse events.

Dr Francis Saridin

Dr Saridin is a neurologist who designs study protocols for clinical trials and grant applications.

Eddie Chong

Mr Chong is certified by several prominent rating service providers (eg, Bracket and MedAvante) to perform psychometric ratings for clinical trials. He is multilingual, being fluent in English, Malay and Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien). This enables him to communicate effectively with elderly subjects who may not be conversant in English.

April Phua

Ms Phua is certified by several prominent rating service providers to perform psychometric ratings for clinical trials. She is fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), which is a strong asset in communicating and establishing rapport with elderly subjects.
