Assistant Professor Khoo Chin Meng (Core Lead)
Dr Khoo Chin Meng is a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist in the Department of Medicine, National University Hospital (NUH), and an Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. His research interests are obesity, insulin resistance and the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Tino Kyaw Myo Thant
Tino is a research assistant who is in charge of the core’s indirect calorimetry services. He also conducts venepuncture/cannulation training 3 to 4 times per year.
Jayagowtham K. Annadurai
Jaya is a research assistant with a biomedical science background and past wet-lab experience. He is also in charge of cross-monitoring of research practices for the core.
Vasanthi D/O Peruma
Vasanthi is a research nurse with 25 years working experience in clinical trial studies in NUH. Vast research experience doing clinical studies from the following divisions – gastroenterology, hepatology disease, radiology research studies and endocrinology. Capabilities in carrying out various clinical projects with the Metabolic Core team.
Dawn Fong Li-Ling
Dawn provides administrative support for the core, including procurement, processing of invoices and advising on the use of funds.
