Facility Charges
We offer cost-effective access to the state-of-the-art BSL-3 Core Facility and its equipment to NUHS Principal Investigators for their research on Risk Group 3 Pathogens. The Core Facility also provides trainings and consultations/technical advice for designing specific BSL-3 experimental protocols and developing relevant SOPs for research with infectious pathogens.

Research Services
In addition to facilities usage, the BSL-3 Core Facility also housed a Scientific Services and Strategic Research Team (S3RT) that conducts BSL-3 research. S3RT specializes in work involving risk group 3 pathogens, with scope of services including:
- Antimicrobial screens (including, but not limited to compounds and antibodies)
- Host-pathogen interaction study in in vitro and in vivo infection models, including infection in 3D culture models
- Infection model establishment
- Inactivation of infectious samples
- Clinical sample isolation and stock generation
