Admission Requirements
MSc Programme
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree with Honours (Distinction and above) / its equivalent or
- The degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or
- The degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery and
- The ability to pursue research in the candidate’s proposed field of advanced study.
PhD Programme
- A good Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree with Honours (Distinction and above) / its equivalent or
- The degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or
- The degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery and
- The ability to pursue research in the candidate’s proposed field of advanced study.
TOEFL/IELTS
International applicants are required to submit valid test scores for either the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or the IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System) and meet the following minimum requirements:
• TOEFL (taken before 21 January 2026): Minimum overall score of 94
• TOEFL (taken on or after 21 January 2026): Minimum overall score of 5.0
• IELTS Academic: Minimum overall band score of 7.0
TOEFL and IELTS Academic test scores are valid for 2 years from the test dates. Scores that have expired by the application closing date will not be accepted.

GRE and other requirements
1. A well-crafted statement of purpose detailing research interests, career aspirations, and motivations for choosing our program.
2. Letters of recommendation from academic or professional referees, offering valuable insights into the applicant’s qualifications and research potential.
3. A comprehensive CV highlighting academic accomplishments and pertinent experience.
4. Standardized test scores such as the GRE (General Test, In-Person or at Home).
5. Publications or involvement in research projects.
Items (1) – (3) are compulsory.
Items (4) and (5) are optional; however, do note that evidence of strong quantitative, verbal, and analytical skills through GRE scores, as well as indicators of research skills and experience will significantly strengthen your application.
