Overview

Postdoctoral fellows are critical drivers of science and innovation. Our postdoctoral fellows significantly contribute to the fabric of the scientific community with their intellectual pursuits while gently nurturing our young aspiring researchers to forge on in their research endeavours.

The Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine continues to recognize the vast contributions of the postdoctoral community to our school and the greater scientific community. To provide more concerted support to our postdoctoral fellows, NUS Medicine established the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (NUSMed OPA) in June 2020. With the establishment of the NUSMed OPA, all work done to support postdoctoral research fellows at our school, including personal development, professional training and facilitation of open communication to nurture the growth of future-ready postdoctoral fellows, is unified.

The Office's efforts are greatly supported by the NUS Medicine Postdoctoral Association, established in 2018. Over the years, numerous postdoctoral fellows have banded together to commit their time and effort beyond their call of duty to benefit our community at large through NUSMed PDA.

Please do write in to us if you are looking to find out more, volunteer, or would like to share your thoughts and suggestions on working together and serving better. Every support counts to building a stronger and a more vibrant postdoctoral community. Thank you!
