Programme Highlights

There is an increasing demand for more proactive preventative measures to combat the rising prevalence of chronic health conditions in Singapore. Health coaches can help to bridge the gap by helping to motivate and support people with their lifestyle changes. Health coaching is a different way of talking to patients regarding their health. It is a partnership in which the patient is considered the expert in their own life, while the coach helps facilitates the change process through visioning, goal setting and accountability. Throughout this 2-day course, participants will learn the principles of health coaching, how to set personalised health goals, and get practical experience in order to transform the way they have conversations with patients.

Benefits of Attending

Currently there are a lack of training courses that focuses solely on health coaching. Therefore this course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge of health coaching, in order for them to empower others to set and achieve personalized health goals.

At the end of the course, participants should be able to:
1)Understand what health coaching is and its benefits
2)Apply basic motivational interviewing skills to help build self-efficacy
3)Display core coaching competencies during patient interaction
4)Use newly gained skills and tools to have better conversations
5)Empower others to develop personalized health goals

Who Should Attend
