Financial Assistance for MBBS (NUS Medicine)

The National University of Singapore is committed to a needs-blind merit-based admission policy that ensures no deserving student admitted to the University is denied an education because of financial difficulties. In addition to the Financial Aid Schemes offered by the NUS Office of Financial Aid, the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine offers its own needs-based scholarships and bursaries to assist students with financial difficulties.

At National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, we offer more than 90 needs-based scholarships and bursaries to assist students with financial difficulties. Students do not apply directly for the specific scholarships/ bursaries. Students only have to put in ONE application via the Office of Financial Aid’s Application Portal to be considered for both the NUS Financial Aid Schemes and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Financial Assistance. In AY2024/25, students with monthly per capita income (PCI) ≤ S$2,500 will be given priority. To know more about our bursaries, please download the brochure here.

Current and prospective students may apply for financial assistance for MBBS from 15 January to 30 June each year to be considered for the Financial Aid Schemes administered by both the Office of Financial Aid and the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Current students are encouraged to apply by 31 March each year for an early consideration of NUS donated bursaries.
