Grant Enhancement Masterclass (GEM)
What is GEM?
Grant Enhancement Masterclass, with a panel of senior faculty and core faculty members, provides intensive guidance for budding clinician-scientists in preparing for their NMRC grant submission within 5 months.
What does GEM provide?
Through the programme, clinician-scientists can expect to receive mentoring for their study proposals to:
Comprising of 4 components:- 1. Research Idea Development, 2. Specific Aims, 3. Panel Discussion and critique, 4. Final Revision, GEM will take place about 5 months before each NMRC grant cycle.

Advisory to a panel of two senior facult members and an anchor mentor

Advisory by the same panel, plus anchor editor and quantitative expert

Who can join GEM?
NUHS clinicians with good track record in research with the intention to apply for the following NMRC grants:
1. Transition Award (TA)
2. Clinician Scientist Award Investigator (CSA INV)
- Clinician Scientist Award
- Clinician Innovator Award
- HPHSR Clinician Scientist Award
3. CS-IRG New Investigator Grant (CS-IRG-NIG)
