NUS Nursing is holding a research seminar with the topic: PREVENTion and Treatment of Incontinence-associated Dermatitis for Older People Living in Long-term Facilities and Community Settings: A Programme of Research in the UK. The seminar will be conducted by Prof Ruth Harris from King’s College London, where she will delve into a study done in the United Kingdom that helps care staff in preventing and managing Incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD) through an evidence-based training and decision-support intervention, called the IAD Manual.

Hosted by Dr Vivien Wu, Prof Harris will explain how the IAD Manual was co-designed with key stakeholders and placed on a three-month feasibility study in long-term care facilities and homecare services. She will also go into further detail on the IAD Manual’s reception by the care staff, as well as its recruitment and implementation challenges.
