NUS Nursing is holding a research seminar with the topic: Leveraging Medicare and Medicaid Data to Advance Diabetes Research. The seminar will be conducted by A/Prof Ng Boon Peng from the University of Central Florida, where he will delve into how Medicare and Medicaid data provide foundations for advancing diabetes research by enabling large-scale analyses of disease burden, care patterns, and outcomes among high-risk populations.
Hosted by Professor He Hong-Gu, A/Prof Ng will explain how researchers can evaluate the utilization and impact of programs such as Medicare Diabetes Self-Management Training and the Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program, and identify disparities in access, uptake, and health outcomes.
