NUS Nursing Research Seminar: Heterogeneity in Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factor Prevalence among Ethnic Minority Populations in the United States

Presented by A/Prof Diana-Lyn Baptiste, from Johns Hopkins University, and hosted by NUS Nursing’s Dr Jiang Ying, the seminar will examine cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factor trends among diverse ethnic subgroups of Black, Hispanic, and Asian adults living in the United States.

Drawing on findings from three studies conducted at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing’s Center for Cardiovascular and Chronic Care, this work explores the psychosocial, environmental, and social factors that influence cardiovascular risk and highlights opportunities to advance equitable CVD prevention and improve cardiovascular health outcomes among diverse communities.
