Admission Requirements

To be eligible to apply for admission, applicants need to present one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or healthcare-related subjects with at least a Second Honours Class or its equivalent; or
  • Coursework Master’s degree in Nursing or healthcare-related subjects with a GPA of 3.5 or above; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or healthcare-related subjects and evidence of outcomes from a research project equivalent to 25% of one year’s full-time study.
  • The ability to pursue research in the candidate’s proposed field of advanced study.
 1. A well-crafted statement of purpose detailing research interests, career aspirations, and motivations for choosing our programme.

2. Letters of recommendation from academic or professional referees, offering valuable insights into the applicant’s qualifications and research potential.
3. A comprehensive CV highlighting academic accomplishments and pertinent experience.
4. Standardized test scores such as the GRE.
5. Publications or involvement in research projects.
Items (1) to (3) are compulsory.
Items (4) and (5) are optional; however, do note that evidence of strong quantitative, verbal, and analytical skills through GRE scores, as well as indicators of research skills and experience will significantly strengthen your application.

TOEFL/IELTS

Applicants whose medium of instruction is not English must submit TOEFL/IELTS scores as evidence of their proficiency in the English Language. Exemptions will be given to applicants with distinctions in the Cambridge GCE ‘O’ level examination English Language Paper 1119. The minimum TOEFL internet-Based Tests (iBT) or iBT Home Edition score required is 5 for (1-6) score scale or 85 for (0-120) score scale. For IELTS (Academic or IELTS Online), the minimum score required is 6.5.

Applicants may be required to provide a letter from your university as proof of the medium of instruction.
