Medical medical students who are keen on doing clinical / research elective in Ophthalmology can apply with us for a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks. Application must be made at least 5 months before the commencement of the posting. Only medical undergraduates in their clinical years may apply for the programme.

• Students send email request (flolau33@nus.edu.sg) to check for the available slots within the elective period:
  • Elective period is only available from January to June.
• The applicant will have to fill up ‘Application For Admission as Local Elective / Research Elective in Ophthalmology’ and attached a copy of their Curriculum Vitae if the time slot is available.
• Students will be informed via email if the application is successful.

Special Clinical Elective Programme is open to medical students that already in their clinical years. Application must be submitted between 8 - 12 months in advance of your intended posting. Do note that our elective period is only available from January to June.

Please note that the minimum and maximum posting periods are 2 to 12 weeks respectively. Postings applied for are subject to the availability of vacancies and supervision, and the Dean’s approval.
