Department of Medicine (DoM) Academic Day

Held annually in August, DoM Academic Day serves as a platform to showcase and acknowledge and celebrate our academic achievements, as well as to provide an opportunity for our upcoming junior researchers to compete for seed funding awards to support their pursuit of research. In addition, our Allied Health colleagues are also invited to join us, in recognition of their support of the department’s academic and clinical mission.

During the event, four awards are distributed:

• Junior Research Award
• Chan Heng Leong Research Award
• Allied Health Research Award
• Launching Ideas For Translation (LIFT) Grant Award

REACHES (Research, Education And Clinical Health Excellence Sharing)

As of March 2025, D.R.E.A.M was re-branded to REACHES to encourage the sharing of not only research-related topics but any topic related to the Division’s education and clinical excellence.

Each month, the meeting is chaired by a Division where a clinician investigator is invited to share about his/her research insights, research achievement(s) and/or the Division’s education/clinical excellence. The session serves as a platform for our Department’s researchers to come together to cross learn about their fellow Division researchers’ experience and expertise.
