Graduate Mentor of The Year (GRAMAY) Award
The Graduate Mentor of The Year (GRAMAY) Award is an annual award that honors and celebrates faculty staff for their excellence in mentorship and the professional development of graduate students in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The award is given to recognize the important key roles played by the Faculty staff in inspiring and nurturing future biomedical- and clinician-scientists. Winner of Yeoh Seang Aun Prizes (In Tuberculosis and Infectious Diseases)
The Graduate Prize is be awarded to the medically qualified (MBBS or equivalent) PhD student in the School with the most outstanding research done in tuberculosis and/or infectious diseases.- 2023: Chun Ye Yu, Jade (Supervisor: Assistant Professor Chris Sham Lok-To & Associate Professor Sylvie Alonso). Thesis: Influence of glycan structure on colonization of Streptococcus pneumoniae on human respiratory epithelial cells.
- 2022: Nguee Yee Teng Samantha (Supervisor:Adjunct Professor Laurent Claude Stephane Rénia & Associate Professor Kevin Shyong Wei Tan). Thesis title: Lung Endothelial Cell Antigen Cross-Presentation to CD8+ T cells Drives Malaria-Associated Lung Injury.
- 2021: Lim Ze Qin (Supervisor: Associate Professor Sylvie Alonso). Thesis title: Enterovirus-A71 exploits Peripherin and Rac1 to invade the central nervous system.
