    Graduate Mentor of The Year (GRAMAY) Award

    The Graduate Mentor of The Year (GRAMAY) Award is an annual award that honors and celebrates faculty staff for their excellence in mentorship and the professional development of graduate students in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The award is given to recognize the important key roles played by the Faculty staff in inspiring and nurturing future biomedical- and clinician-scientists. The award recipients should have shown excellence in graduate supervision, intellectual and professional development as well as career development of their graduate students.

    Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Research Excellence Award

    This award recognizes faculty members who have demonstrated excellent achievements as researchers.

    President’s Certificate of Commendation (COVID-19)

    The President’s Certificate of Commendation (COVID-19) is awarded to organisations and teams that made exceptional efforts which had a significant impact in Singapore’s fight against COVID-19.

    Winner of the NUS Medicine Outstanding Research Fellow Award 2023

    The NUS Medicine Outstanding Research Fellow Award aims to recognise the efforts and achievements of NUS Medicine Research Fellows who have demonstrated excellence in research, service, mentoring and leadership, thus making a significant positive impact on NUS Medicine, and the scientific community at large.

    Winner of Yeoh Seang Aun Prizes (In Tuberculosis and Infectious Diseases)

    The Graduate Prize is be awarded to the medically qualified (MBBS or equivalent) PhD student in the School with the most outstanding research done in tuberculosis and/or infectious diseases.
    • 2023: Chun Ye Yu, Jade (Supervisor: Assistant Professor Chris Sham Lok-To & Associate Professor Sylvie Alonso). Thesis: Influence of glycan structure on colonization of Streptococcus pneumoniae on human respiratory epithelial cells.
    • 2022: Nguee Yee Teng Samantha (Supervisor:Adjunct Professor Laurent Claude Stephane Rénia & Associate Professor Kevin Shyong Wei Tan). Thesis title: Lung Endothelial Cell Antigen Cross-Presentation to CD8+ T cells Drives Malaria-Associated Lung Injury.
    • 2021: Lim Ze Qin (Supervisor: Associate Professor Sylvie Alonso). Thesis title: Enterovirus-A71 exploits Peripherin and Rac1 to invade the central nervous system.

    Chua Toh Hua Memorial Gold Medal for the Commencement Class of 2020

    • Dr Chen Weihua, Elijah (Supervisor: Professor Nicholas Gascoigne). Thesis title: Identification of Cdc7 as a new regulator of T cell activation.
