We commemorated WMD2021 by organizing an onsite meeting (talks, exhibits, games, lunch), social media outreach (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) and virtual walkathon to raise awareness about the global disease situation and malaria research in Singapore. We had a radio interview aired on CNA938 as well as a full-page spread in the Straits Times to reach the wider local audience.

127 medical students from 20 medical schools in 11 countries attended this 4-session online course describing the positive contributions of microbes to human health, history and society.
