Training Programmes	Remarks
For New Staff
NUS Requirement on Safety, Health and Emergency Management (Canvas - OSHGEN03)	To be completed within 1 month upon joining the University
Online Fire Safety Training Course (Canvas - OSHFS01)	To be completed within 1 month upon joining the University
Laboratory Safety Induction Training (Canvas - OSHGEN01)	To be completed prior to performing activites in the laboratory
New Laboratory Staff Induction Programme	To be completed within 2 weeks of joining the Department. Conducted by Safety Leads.
Fire Safety Education Course	All laboratory technical staff that are handling PFM or Any other laboratory personnel identified by their Principal Investigators (PIs) whom are required to attend this course.
Lab-specific Training (Approach respective lab's PI/Safety Leads)	Staff performing activites that are specific to the individual PI's lab.
For New Students
Introduction to Laboratory Safety and Health in NUS - Policy, Principles and Practice (OSHGEN02)	Compulsory for newly matriculated undergraduates who will be having classes in laboratories and/or workshops.
Campus Safety & Health: Our Responsibility (OSHGEN10)	Recommended for newly matriculated undergraduates.
New Laboratory Student Induction Programme	To be completed within 2 weeks of joining the Department. Conducted by Safety Leads.
Fire Safety Education Course	Any other laboratory personnel identified by their Principal Investigators (PIs) whom are required to attend this course.

For ALL Laboratory Staff/Students
Biosafety for BSL-2 Laboratories (Canvas - OSHBIO08)	Refresher every 3 years.
Biosafety Legislations & Guidelines (OSHBIO04)	Mandatory for new Principal Investigators (PIs) and all individuals involved in importing, acquiring, transferring, or handling biological materials
Chemical Safety (Canvas - OSHCHM01)	Refresher every 3 years.
Fire Safety Refresher	Refresher every 3 years.
