  • After submission to the University, the MSc thesis will be examined by two (2) internal examiners.
  • Upon receipt of the examiners’ reports, the Division of Graduate Studies (DGS) will convey the result to the student and inform of any necessary amendments.
  • Upon satisfactory completion of any amendments to the written thesis and submission of the necessary forms, the University will confer the degree to the student.
  • After submission to the University, the PhD thesis will be examined by a minimum of two (2) internal examiners.
  • If the student passes the thesis examination, a PhD Oral Examination Panel comprising of at least 3 members will be set up by the Division of Graduate Studies (DGS).
  • Students are required to write a point-by-point rebuttal on the examiners’ comments and submit to the examination panel at least ONE week before the exam date.
  • A suitable date will be set for an open seminar where the Oral Examination Panel will assess the student’s presentation and ability to answer questions from the audience.
  • At the end of the open seminar, the student will meet privately with the Oral Examination Panel for discussion on any further questions that the Panel wishes to raise, as well as any amendments to the written thesis.
  • A report of the oral exam will be submitted by the panel members to DGS.
  • Upon satisfactory completion of any amendments to the written thesis and the necessary forms, the University will confer the degree to the student.
