- A good GPA in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree
- GRE is strongly encouraged for all applicants

TOEFL / IELTS
Mandatory for applicants whose medium of instruction is not English.
- TOEFL: Minimum ≥ 580/237/85 for the paper-based, computer-based and internet-based tests respectively.
- IELTS: Minimum Overall ≥ 6.5
Applicants may be required to provide a letter from your university as proof of the medium of instruction.
*Exemption: Applicants with distinctions in the Cambridge GCE ‘O’ level examination English Language Paper 1119
GRADUATE RECORD EXAMINATIONS (GRE)
Submission of GRE scores is strongly encouraged for all applicants. GRE scores demonstrating strong quantitative, verbal, and analytical abilities will strengthen your application. Use University Code ‘0677’ to send the scores to NUS. No Department Code is required.

NUS Research Scholarship / President’s Graduate Fellowship
- Submit together with the main application through the GDA3 system.
NUS-SINGA / A*STAR SINGA
- Submit separate applications through A*STAR for scholarship and the GDA3 System for admission.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Submit the application online with the required supporting documents via the GDA3 System.
- Hard copy submissions are NOT required.

Application Deadlines
There are 2 intakes per academic year, one in August and the other in January. All applications must reach the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Dean’s Office by 31 December (of the previous year) for the August intake, and by 30 June (of the previous year) for the January intake.
Application Outcome
For applicants who have submitted the completed application (with all the required documents) before the respective application deadlines, their applications will be processed and they can check their application outcome via the online admission system. Only successful candidates will be notified of their application outcome via email by the following notification periods:

Please submit your application before 31 December (August intake) and 30 June (January intake) to be eligible for scholarship evaluation.
Applications that are received after the respective application deadline will be considered for the next intake.
Admission interviews are usually conducted online in March/April for the August intake and August/ September for the January intake respectively.
Applicants who applied for the research scholarship must apply by 31 December for the March/April interviews and by 30 June for the August/ September interviews.
