Bioinformatics Core Data Analytics

The Bioinformatics Core Facility aims to bring together experts in the NUHS bioinformatics community to support research needs through data analysis, data management support and education.

Centre for Translational Magnetic Resonance Research (TMR)

The Centre for Translational Magnetic Resonance Research (TMR) is equipped with two 3T MR scanner dedicated to clinical and non-clinical research. They are also backed by a strong team of researchers capable of various imaging modalities – Neuro, metabolic and cardiac.

Clinical Imaging Research Center (CIRC)

Clinical Imaging Research Centre (CIRC), offers state-of-the-art facilities for Magnetic Resonance (MR) Imaging and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) applied to clinical research, and is the only GMP-certified imaging facility in Singapore.

Confocal Microscopy

The Confocal Microscopy Unit provides affordable and efficient access to standard and advanced imaging instrumentation for users of all levels of experience and from any discipline.

Drug Discovery and Optimization Platform (DDOP)

Established in 2017, we aim to empower all researchers within NUS, as well as our academic and industry partners in Singapore and overseas in end-to-end drug development capabilities. We also provide usage of various sensitive equipment and services.

The Electron Microscopy Unit provides electron microscopy facilities and a core group of experienced staff for consultation and assistance with equipment use, training, and know-how to support in-depth microscopy research in life science.

Electrophysiology

NUS Medicine Electrophysiology Core provides service and expertise to researchers who plan to conduct experiments requiring electrophysiological techniques, such as patch-clamp electrophysiology, for functional or physiological studies.

The Flow Cytometry Unit offers state-of-art analysis and high-speed sorting. We provide a one stop service solution which is relevant to experimental design, sample preparation, new protocol development and professional flow cytometer template set up

The Investigational Medicine Unit was established to lead and facilitate investigational medicine research within NUHS through collaborations with academics and industry partners, focusing on early phase clinical trials and also supports other phases.

Memory Ageing and Cognition Centre (MACC)

MACC was established in 2010. The MACC aims to investigate and provide novel insights into the risk factors and biomarkers for cognitive decline and dementia that may lead to potential therapeutic approaches. A quick Memory Test can be found there!

Metabolic Core - NUHS Centre Grant

Metabolic Core provides methodologies in human metabolic phenotyping. Services include clinical tests from OGTT/MMTT/IVGTT, glucagon stimulation, euglycemic/hyperglycemic clamp to indirect calorimetry. Others include phlebotomy/cannulation services.

Multiphoton Microscopy

Multiphoton imaging enables multi-spectral and deep tissue imaging at fast speed and high-resolution. This core facility was inaugurated by Professor Chong Yap Seng, Dean, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine on 23rd November 2020.
