Vincent is a lecturer at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, where he was also previously an alumnus. Prior to him joining the faculty, Vincent was working as a Registered Nurse at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) for 10 years.

With over a decade of experience, Vincent has developed and honed his nursing skills across diverse inpatient and outpatient settings. He started his Nursing career at the Neurology/Neurosurgery ward, where he planned and managed the care of patients with neurological conditions such as Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Epilepsy and Dementia. Thereafter, he moved on to advance his clinical skills and care management of patients who are critically ill at the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. In his last posting at SGH, he served as a Community Nurse at the Population Health Integrated Care Office, in which his role involved managing residents with chronic diseases through health monitoring and health coaching, coordination of care and organising health promotional activities within the community.

It was also during his stint as a Community Nurse that he developed a profound interest towards health promotion and management of chronic diseases in the community. This interest led him to pursue his Master of Public Health at the National University of Singapore, Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health.

With his extensive background in both clinical practice and public health, he is passionate about integrating a public health perspective into the nursing education, emphasizing the importance of preventive care, health promotion, and community-based interventions. He is also committed to nurturing the next generation of nursing professionals to be compassionate, forward-thinking healthcare practitioners who are equipped to address the evolving needs of diverse communities.
