Programme Overview

This course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills to build their capability as workplace learning facilitators (WPLF) and performance assessors. 

Aims of Programme

The course learning outcomes are:

  1. Examine workplace learning assessment in the context of Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and professional regulatory framework and requirements.
  2. Apply the Entrustable Professional Activities (EPA) and Portfolio to assess workplace learners for professional competency.
  3. Apply IHLs assessment tools to assess workplace performance.
  4. Collaborate with learners to develop an individualised learning intervention plan based on WPLF’s constructive feedback.
  5. Apply IHLs tools to perform effective workplace learning assessments of learners with different levels of learning.

Programme Details

2 years of work experience in healthcare sector.

Allied Healthcare professionals, Registered Nurses, Clinicians and University Educators in the healthcare related fields.

This course will raise the standard of practice for the healthcare professionals through competent workplace learning facilitators, adopting best practices in workplace learning and performance assessment. Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies’s Studies’ faculty expertise in clinical settings and education.

Completion of this course: Certificate of Competency

Completion of the full series of the courses, participant will attain the Professional Certificate in Workplace Learning, Facilitation, Assessment and Management:

  1. Facilitate Effective Workplace Learning for Healthcare Professionals;
  2. Workplace Learning and Performance Assessment in Healthcare;
  3. Lead Workplace Learning and Development for Healthcare Professionals.

Tuition Fees

Learners must record at least 75% attendance, and pass all assessment components, to be eligible for SSG funding.
