Thank you for considering Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies in your education journey. Through a hybrid learning approach which comprises a blend of physical and online lessons, our Bachelor of Science (Nursing Practice) programme is designed to accommodate our students’ busy clinical working schedules. Recognising the need to inculcate problem solving skills and agile mindsets at the clinical level, the programme equips students with the clinical knowledge, as well as critical thinking abilities to better prepare them for future challenges in clinical healthcare settings.

Assoc Professor Lau Siew Tiang, Lydia
PhD, MHS(Ed), BHSN, RN

The Bachelor of Science (Nursing Practice) programme has been introduced to fulfil aspirations of recent nursing diploma graduates in the workforce who wish to pursue a part-time degree at National University of Singapore (NUS).

This part-time degree programme builds on the foundation that polytechnic nursing graduates have established through their three years of diploma studies at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) or Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP).

The normal and maximum candidatures for BSc (Nursing Practice) are three (3) and four (4) years respectively.

The programme will cover the core competencies required by the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) as well as offer broad-based courses that will prepare registered nurses (RNs) to be critical thinkers and self-directed reflective practitioners, who can apply theoretical learning at their respective practice areas.
