Admission Requirements

Applicants must fulfil both academic requirements and SNB admission requirements to the Master of Nursing programme. Applicants may need to attend an admission interview based on the admission process.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements for admission:

  • possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a SNB accredited programme#;
  • have a minimum GPA of 3.20;
  • have a minimum TOEFL score of 580/237/85 for paper-based, computer-based and Internet-based scores, respectively, or an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent – for applicants whose native tongue or medium of undergraduate education is not in English;
  • possess full registration and a valid Practising Certificate with the Singapore Nursing Board; and
  • have at least 5 years of continuous clinical practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • have an Advanced Diploma/Post-graduate Diploma in a Clinical Specialty for acute care (Critical Care & Emergency) and mental healthcare applicants

Other requirements:

  • Applicants must have a strong recommendation from their Chief Nurse, Director of Nursing and Head of their respective department.
  • Applicants are expected to meet the health requirements stipulated by the Ministry of Health Singapore.

One intake per academic year

Q: I am a nurse in my home country. Can I apply for this programme?
 

A: MN candidate must possess full registration and a valid Practising Certificate with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).

Q: Is this programme offered on a full-time or part-time basis?
 

A: This is a full-time 18 month programme.

Q: Is MN a coursework or research programme?
 

A: MN is a coursework programme. If you are keen on a research-based programme, you may consider the Master of Science (Nursing).
