NUS Nursing’s strength in inter-professional education and the holistic approach in nurturing students had prepared and opened a world of opportunities for me beyond the clinical bedside. I am currently working as a Senior Occupational Health Specialist in the private sector, and advocating for a wholesome health spectrum for the employees in the company.
Kimberley-Ann Tan Zi Ying
Senior Staff Nurse / Creative Lead of Nurses of Tan Tock Seng Hospital social media Graduated with: Bachelor of Science (Nursing) (Hons) (Distinction), 2020
Doing a career switch from Mass Communication in Polytechnic to Nursing in University – I was extremely worried about the learning curve and new territory I was getting myself into. However, my experience at NUS Nursing truly showed me that anything is possible. From the most supportive tutors and professors, to the many opportunities we had both in clinical and nonclinical areas – my university experience was one that not only helped me become a better nurse, but one that inspired me and equipped me with the skills to make a change in the healthcare landscape. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to combine both my skill sets, and am currently a hybrid nurse under TTSH Nursing’s Communications and Organisation Development portfolio.
