NUS Medicine student finishes third in ST Run

Second-year NUS Medicine student Abigail Sim, who is an avid runner, finished third in the 10km women’s race of the 2017 Straits Times Run, with a timing of 48min 37sec.

Running has always been a big part of Abigail’s life, especially so when she was preparing for her examinations. She was also the 2012 Schools National cross-country B Division champion.

Coming from a humble background, Abigail was once a beneficiary of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, which allowed her to focus on her studies instead of working to make ends meet.
