Programme Highlights

The HI5103 course aims to equip healthcare workers with quality improvement tools and techniques for problem-solving and process improvement. Participants will be provided with theoretical and reflective exercises to help familiarise them on the use of several quality improvement programs and tools that they can employ in a quality improvement or patient safety project within their area of interest.

This course is stackable and completion of 3 other courses within a 24-month candidature period will lead to an Executive Certificate in Healthcare Improvement via Informatics.

Pre-Requisites and Assessment

Participants are required to be an existing employee of a healthcare institution, a community healthcare provider, or working in a healthcare setting.

Assessment component includes Oral assessment (group presentation).

Awards and Certification

The HI5103 course is stackable and completion of 3 other courses within a 24-month candidature period will lead to an Executive Certificate in Healthcare Improvement via Informatics.

1) All self-sponsored Singaporeans aged 25 and above can use their SkillsFuture Credit to pay for the course fee.

2) Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES): Singaporeans aged 40 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fee.

3) Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS): SME-sponsored employees (Singapore Citizens and PRs) may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fee.

4) Long Term Visit Pass-Plus (LTVP+) holders may enjoy SSG subsidies. Terms and conditions apply.

As this is a SSG-approved course, learners must pass all assessment components to successfully complete the course and receive a Certificate of Completion. Learners may have to bear the full course fee if they fail to meet this requirement.

Points to note

  • Course submission closes on 5 June 2024 (Wednesday) 23:59HR (strictly no extension will be given). No payment is collected now, as the courses are ongoing registration.
  • As part of the submission requirement for academic courses, please prepare to upload your NRIC (front and back) / transcript / Certification during the application.
  • All applicants will be notified of the application outcome (offered/rejected) ~ 4 weeks after registration closing. You will need to accept/reject the course offering by then & the school’s administrative & finance team will contact all applicants to proceed with administration & corp billing/payment/ Skillsfuture application in stages.
  • Courses are not offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. A committee will review all applications base on the eligibility criteria.
  • Student Services Fee of $25.46 is payable for the semester after enrolling in the course.
