Programme Highlights

This course illustrates the understanding of the genetic basis of diseases.

Employing state-of-the-art Omics and analytic tools to identify disease causing genes and biomarkers for disease diagnosis and prognosis and developing genetic and genomic strategies to treat and mitigate diseases.

Pre-Requisites and Assessment

Prerequisites:

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and may be required to show relevant work experience. Applicants with other qualifications and experience may be considered on a case by case basis, subject to approval by the school.

Learners who complete the PHM5001 academic course will receive a Certificate of Completion and an Executive Certificate in Human Genomics in Precision Medicine.

1) All self-sponsored Singaporeans aged 25 and above can use their SkillsFuture Credit to pay for the course fee.

2) Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES): Singaporeans aged 40 and above may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fee.

3) Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS): SME-sponsored employees (Singapore Citizens and PRs) may enjoy subsidies up to 90% of the course fee.

4) Long Term Visit Pass-Plus (LTVP+) holders may enjoy SSG subsidies. Terms and conditions apply.

As this is a SSG-approved course, learners must pass all assessment components to successfully complete the course and receive a Certificate of Completion. Learners may have to bear the full course fee if they fail to meet this requirement.

Interested learners must self-enrol for the module via the Online Application Portal (OAP).

Points to note

  • Module submission closes on 06 June 2025 (Friday) 23:59HR (strictly no extension will be given). No payment is collected now, as the modules are ongoing registration.
  • As part of the submission requirement for academic modules, please prepare to upload your NRIC (front and back) / transcript / Certification during the application.
  • All applicants will be notified of the application outcome (offered/rejected) ~ 4 weeks after registration closing. You will need to accept/reject the module offering by then & the school’s administrative & finance team will contact all applicants to proceed with administration & corp billing/payment/ Skillsfuture application in stages.
  • Modules are not offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. A committee will review all applications base on the eligibility criteria.
  • Student Services Fee of $25.70 is payable for the semester after enrolling in the modular course.
