Buck Advisory Council – NUS Medicine Conference

The upcoming Buck Advisory Council (BAC) Fall Conference will take place from 8-10 October 2015 at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Hosted jointly by the Buck Institute for Research on Aging and the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, this is the first time the conference is being held in Singapore.
Modelled on the original Davos World Economic Forum, Buck Advisory Council conferences are designed to inform and include the newest and most innovative science being done in the field of ageing. The programme includes both scientific developments and the business of healthcare.
The agenda for the 2015 conference will have a focus on Singapore, one of the world’s highest ranked countries for the longevity of its citizens. Representatives from the National University Health System (NUHS) and NUS Medicine include Professor John Eu-Li Wong, Chief Executive of the National University Health System (NUHS) and Associate Professor Chong Yap Seng, Executive Director for the Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences (SICS), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and an associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, NUS Medicine. The line up also includes board members of the Buck Institute and respected leaders from the global business, finance and healthcare sectors, amongst others.
Buck Institute for Research on Aging, located in Marin County, California, USA is the nation’s first independent research facility focused solely on understanding the connection between ageing and chronic disease (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, cancer, stroke and cardiovascular disease, diabetes, macular degeneration and others).
