Biography
Adj Assoc Prof David is the Director for Primary & Community Care (PCC) Division in the Ministry of Health. He is an experienced Family Physician with more than 20 years of public service and has been heavily involved in medical education at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, winning various teaching awards for his efforts in education. He has had the opportunity to serve as the Head of a polyclinic in Singapore, a Family Medicine Residency Program Director, the Director of Clinical Services in the National University Polyclinics, and Assistant Dean (Education) in NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Aside from work, he serves as a member in the Committee on Fostering in the Ministry of Social and Family Development and is a council member of the College of Family Physicians Singapore.
He completed an Executive MBA with both UCLA and NUS in order to broaden his horizons and acquire new knowledge and perspectives in leadership, diversity, and the various competitive environments in the world. With this he hopes to be equipped with the skills to contribute more effectively in the public healthcare domain.
As family physician by training, Adj Assoc Prof David continues to serve as a Family Physician Senior Consultant, in Pioneer Polyclinic of the National University Polyclinics, NUHS.
