Professor James Hui Hoi Po Appointed as Head of Orthopaedic Surgery at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine

Professor Hui Hoi Po, James has been appointed as Head, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and National University Hospital with effect from 1 January 2020.
Professor Hui takes over from Professor K Satku, who has led the Department as Acting Head for the past eight months.
Professor Hui joined NUS Medicine in 1999 and has held various administrative appointments at the divisional, departmental and faculty levels, in the areas of academic, clinical, research and residency affairs. As Head of Department, Professor Hui will direct all clinical, education and research work in Orthopaedic Surgery, reporting to the Dean of NUS Medicine.
The School expresses its deepest appreciation to Professor K Satku for his leadership of the Department in the interim period, and for his dedication to NUS Medicine. Professor Satku has been a role model of good governance, fairness and transparency. He guided the Department in improving the quality of patient care, specialist training and education.
