Congratulations to Professor Markus R. Wenk on being conferred the European Lipid Science Award 2018

The award is presented by the European Council of Management of Euro Fed Lipid, in recognition of Prof Wenk’s sterling contributions to the field of lipidomics. The Council was founded in 2000 to build up a European representation for scientists, engineers, companies and associations active in the field of fats and oils. In 2002, the Council established two European Awards devoted to the Science and the Technology of Lipids, which are conferred during the Euro Fed Lipid Annual Conferences.

Prof Wenk, who is head of the Department of Biochemistry, has research interests in Synthetic Biology, Proteomics, Lipidomics as well as Mass Spectrometry, Metabolomics and Blood Testing. He will be presented with the award during the 16th Euro Fed Lipid conference in Belfast (16-19 September 2018).
