Well-wishes from a patient

Dr Yew Tong Wei, assistant professor at NUS Medicine’s Department of Medicine and Consultant at the NUH’s Division of Endocrinology, recalled a touching encounter with a patient before leaving for Scotland to further his studies.

Knowing that he was going away and wanting him to stay safe, the patient who grew up in Thailand wished him well and gave him an amulet that she has been wearing for years.
