Inspiring more Malay students to pursue science

Dr Rufaihah Abdul Jalil of the Department of Surgery at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, who is also an NUS alumna, runs Granada Academy, a volunteer-run social initiative that aims to attract and encourage more Malay or Muslim students to pursue the field of science. The programme has reached out to more than 800 students since it started in 2011.
