Innovation is about creating something new, and of value to the world; in terms of healthcare, this means the well-being of people. The Summit Programme in INnovation (SPIN) gathers clinician-innovators and their scientific knowledge, resources and expertise to create real innovation and value to the community.

Executive Director, Institute for Engineering Leadership

What are the Summit Programmes in INnovation?

The Summit Programme in INnovation (SPIN) gives innovators in the healthcare system opportunities to ‘think outside the box’. The SPIN programme will encompass the best clinician-innovators who aim to produce adoptable solutions that will make an impact to the delivery of healthcare. At the same time, they also help to create tremendous learning opportunities for aspiring innovators to be mentored by experienced and established innovators.

Spearheaded by its Chief Advisor, Professor Hang Chang Chieh, advisors Professor Luke Lee and Professor Phillip Phan, the SPIN is a new initiative by the National University Health System (NUHS) that draws multi-disciplinary talent from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS Medicine) and NUS.
