Biography
Associate Professor Su Lin Lin is the Head, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, National University Hospital, a role she has assumed since 2016. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery undergraduate degree from The University of Melbourne. Subsequently, she underwent training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in various hospitals in the United Kingdom including Guy and St Thomas’s Hospital in London before joining National University Hospital for further training. She has since become a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. As a specialist who heads the maternal-fetal medicine division, she is heavily involved in looking after pregnant women including women with high risk pregnancies. She is also involved in prenatal diagnosis and fetal therapy. She takes pride in her work and obtains joy in empowering women in their pregnancy journey.
Over the years, she has won many awards for her commitment in clinical services which included STAR Award (Excellent customer service, National University Hospital), Incredible Care Service Champion Award (Silver) and NUHS Mochtar Riady Pinnacle Award (Excellence) (2022).
Associate Professor Su’s also enjoys nurturing the next generation of doctors as well obstetricians and gynaecologists through education. Her research area is in prenatal diagnosis and intrapartum and postpartum care of women. Associate Professor Su is also the Vice-Dean of Academic Affairs, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. In this portfolio, she is taking charge of the academic matters related to the academic faculty in the school. Besides, she is a member of the NHG Women’s And Children’s Health Steering Committee
