NUS Medicine Admissions Assessment

The NUS Medicine admissions assessment comprises two independent components:

The FSA and SJT will be conducted on separate days, in no fixed order.

NUS Medicine Shortlisting

Shortlisting will take place during the last week of March each year.

Applicants can check the status of their application/shortlisting via the NUS Applicant Portal. You will not receive any hardcopy or email notifications. Applicants who provide a valid Singapore mobile number on the NUS Office of Admissions application form will receive an SMS notification.

Shortlisted candidates will be informed of their assessment dates. Rescheduling the assessment is subjected to availability and only if there is a valid and substantiated reason (e.g. on medical grounds, National Service obligations). Shortlisted candidates who are absent for the assessment will not be considered for admission to Medicine.

 

Selection Process

NUS Medicine offers 280 places annually and shortlists approximately 1200 candidates for the admissions assessment. All 1200 candidates are ranked based on their scores for the FSA and SJT and the top 280 candidates will be offered a place in NUS Medicine. The subsequent 70 candidates will be placed on the NUS Medicine reserve list while being offered alternative courses (if applicable). All other candidates will be offered alternative courses (if applicable).

Conclusion of the Selection Process Offer Outcome for 2024: Early May 2024

Offer status of candidates will be updated via the NUS Applicant Portal. You will not receive any hardcopy or email notifications. Applicants who provide a valid Singapore mobile number on the NUS Office of Admissions application form will receive an SMS notification.

Candidates on the Reserve List will be notified of their status via email.
