This is an introduction of yourself to the Admissions committee and the interviewer, who would like to learn about the experiences that have shaped your values and desire to study medicine. The word limit is 500 words.

 

This is separate from the mandatory 5 short questions and answers on the NUS application form (Step 1). The 5 short questions and answers is not applicable if you decide to apply only for Medicine. It is required if you are applying for other NUS courses. Please note that if you do not wish to complete the 5 questions, you will need to type something to proceed as it is a required field in the NUS application form.

 

Please provide your top 10 achievements and activities you have participated in over the past 3-4 years. You may include both academic and non-academic activities/ achievements.

 

If you have been shortlisted for medicine previously, please highlight your accomplishments since your last interview.

This testimonial is an official document by your school which provides insight on both the academic ability and character of the student. Your form teacher, counsellor or principal usually writes the testimonial.

 

Please submit the official testimonial from your JC, Polytechnic or high school. It should be with your school/MOE letterhead. If it is not available at the time of submission, you may submit the draft certified with your school stamp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Please nominate 2 referees. Your referee should know you well but must not be related to you.

 

Once you have provided your referee details, an email will automatically be sent to your referee.

*Aptitude-Based Admission Scheme (ABAS) applicants may upload additional supporting documents that help with the application.

Portfolio Submission

Applicants may choose to submit their portfolio through the Standard Scheme or the Aptitude-Based Admissions Scheme (ABAS). Applicants who fail to submit a portfolio will not be considered for Medicine.

Standard Scheme

Portfolios submitted through this route will be shortlisted purely based on academic grades.
The portfolio will be reviewed during the Focused Skills Assessment (FSA).

 

Aptitude-Based Admission Scheme (ABAS)

Applicants who want to be considered on the basis of exceptional talent and achievement, in addition to academic results or have taken the FSA and/or SJT before, must apply via the Aptitude-Based Admissions Scheme (ABAS) in order to be considered for a second assessment.
