Ad-Hoc Offers

Offers will be made on an ad-hoc basis when a candidate withdraws, rejects an offer or does not disrupt NS

For candidates on the reserve list:
  • Candidates on the reserve list are those who fall just outside the number of offered places.
  • They will be offered a place if a candidate on the offer list is unable to matriculate this coming year (AY2024) or turns down the offer.
  • Candidates who are eventually not offered will be able to re-apply to NUS Medicine via the Aptitude-Based Admissions Scheme (ABAS).

If you are subsequently not offered and would like to re-apply:
  • You would need to apply through the Aptitude-Based Admissions Scheme (ABAS).
  • The Admissions Committee will consider achievements from your academic history as well as accomplishments during the intervening period.

This is because the number of offers extended to reserve list candidates can fluctuate significantly from year to year, making it challenging to accurately gauge individual standing.

No, accepting other courses does not affect your place on the reserve list.

Yes, you will be contacted by the NUS Office of Admissions if you are eventually offered NUS Medicine. You will then be provided with the instructions on accepting the NUS Medicine offer.

No, your place on the reserve list is unaffected. The email you received from the Office of Admissions is an automated response triggered by the system due to no courses being offered at this time.

As a candidate on the reserve list, your prospects of receiving an offer are significantly higher.

Given the very competitive demand for the limited number of places available in the NUS Medicine undergraduate degree programme, all applications for admission have been reviewed thoroughly and extensively. Yes, your place will be kept for you until the end of your NS if your accept the offer.
