BMAT/UCAT is required for applicants presenting International Qualifications and International Baccalaureate (IB) forecast results from 2023 onwards.

Interested applicants must have indicated Medicine as the first or second choice in their application, to be considered for Medicine. If Medicine is indicated as the second choice, the first choice must be a course that requires an interview/selection test during admissions.

Step 2 End January to March

Submit a portfolio to the NUS Medicine Admissions Portal through

Option 1: Standard Scheme Option 2: Aptitude-Based Application Scheme

Applicants through this route will be shortlisted purely based on academic grades.

The portfolio will be reviewed during the Focused Skills Assessment (FSA).

Applicants who want to be considered on the basis of exceptional talent and achievement, in addition to academic results or have taken the FSA and/or SJT before, must apply via the Aptitude-Based Admissions Scheme (ABAS) in order to be considered for a second assessment.

1. Shortlisting for Assessment
Last Week of March

Shortlisting will take place during the last week of March each year. Applicants can check the status of their application/shortlisting via the NUS Applicant Portal here →. You will not receive any hardcopy or email notifications. Applicants who provide a valid Singapore mobile number on the NUS Office of Admissions application form will receive an SMS notification.

2. Admissions Assessment
End March to Early April

A Focused Skills Assessment (FSA) and Situational Judgement Test (SJT) are conducted for shortlisted candidates in April each year. Shortlisted candidates must complete the Admissions Assessment to be considered for admission. More information and the dates of the Admissions Assessments can be found here →.

3. Offer for NUS Medicine
End April to Early May

NUS Medicine offers 280 places annually to the top candidates ranked based on their scores for the Focused Skills Assessment (FSA) and Situational Judgement Test (SJT). Candidates will be notified if they are offered a place in NUS Medicine. Please check your offer status via the NUS Applicant Portal here →. The subsequent 70 candidates will be placed on the NUS Medicine reserve list and notified of their status via email.

4. Acceptance of Offer
End May

Accept the offer via the electronic offer letter found in the NUS Applicant Portal here →. Please note that admission to NUS Medicine is subject to the adherence to health requirements in accordance with the Singapore Ministry of Health.
