I am very passionate about the research of bone and soft tissue tumours. My general research aim is to characterize the biology of certain sarcoma and bone tumor groups, identifying and developing novel antibodies or proteins that have diagnostic and / or therapeutic implications.
My current research interest as principal investigator, includes:
a. the analysis of mTOR activity in smooth muscle and soft tissue tumours, especially determining the regulation of mTORC1 activity in smooth muscle tumours and identifying the molecular mechanisms that upregulate mTORC1 activity.
b. Analysis of the WNT signaling pathway in soft tissue and bone tumour which includes testing and validation of specific antibodies that can identify WLS high tumour and identifying a subset of that have high abundance of Wnt secretion proteins.
Other research activities as collaborator include the study of RUNX3 activity in osteosarcoma and medulloblastoma.
