•	Thyroid Cytology – reporting categories in Thyroid fine needle aspiration cytology, and audits of practical usefulness of classification systems. Studying useful diagnostic markers in the differential diagnosis of thyroid neoplasms both in histology and cytology.
•	Gastrointestinal stromal tumours – Characterisation of mesenchymal tumours of the gastrointestinal tract – immunophenotyping and molecular profiling, as well as tissue microarray construction and immuno- and molecular profiling.
•	Lung cancer – Tissue microarray based study of lung cancers, in conjunction with novel immunohisotchemical and molecular markers. Construction of only lung cancer tissue microarray in department. Also working on in-vitro culture and characterization of lung cancer cells.
