Patient-safety-Level-2-2

Health professionals need to possess skills for teamwork and collaborative practice in providing safe and quality patient care.

Apart from conducting exploratory studies to look into hospital nurses and doctors’ interprofessional collaborative practices, we have conducted educational interventions on the delivery of interprofessional education for healthcare students to enhance their collaborative practice.

In addition, we have examined the intra-professional collaborative practice between enrolled and registered nurses that highlights the need to implement intra-professional education to enhance their ability to collaborate and communicate with each other for collaborative patient-focused care.
