Chronic-Illness-and-Long-term-Care-Level-2-4

The management of terminal illness requires a multi-disciplinary approach.

It requires an effort in supporting symptom management as well as psychological, emotional, and spiritual health and well-being. Hence, the Chronic Illness and Long-term Care research in NUS Nursing focuses on understanding patient, family and healthcare provider perspectives and experiences in terminal illness management, developing improved service delivery programmes, and supporting professional education initiatives and training. Ultimately, the goal is to provide excellent supportive and palliative care services by returning autonomy and control in terminal illness management to patients and their loved ones.
