Physical and mental health are fundamentally linked and share a unique relationship.
Understanding the relationship between the mind and body is crucial in managing co-existing physical and mental chronic conditions. This requires an exploration of the needs in mental illness across age-groups and disciplines, a systematic identification of practice and service gaps, and the design and development of targeted interventions. To achieve this, NUS Nursing continues to establish collaborations with national institutions, stakeholders, and community partners to work towards dismantling the stigma around mental health and building resilience in this population of patients, their families, and their healthcare providers.
