WATSON

Welcome to the drug store.

Watson house is named after the nursing theorist and professor, Jean Watson, who is known for her work on nursing care for patients. Following her example, Watson house is committed to using our resources to care for the members in our house.

Watson was previously composed of only Career Conversion Program (CCP) Students and Direct Intake (DI) students from polytechnic. As a result, the house was sometimes quite isolated from the other houses and not as bonded due to their busy schedules. However, we have recently incorporated mainstream students into the house as well!

With this change, we hope to be able to support and provide opportunities for all levels of Nursing Students within Watson. We want our members to bond not just within our own house, but with our future colleagues as well.

Peer Mentoring Programme Testimonials

Joining the Peer Mentor Programme has helped me adjust to school life and feel more prepared. It has also allowed me to bond with my mentor and other mentee while providing a space to share my worries. My mentor has supported me in finding ways to resolve my concerns. I have enjoyed the experience that has come through this programme.”

As a NUS Nursing student peer mentor, guiding my mentee in the peer mentoring program has been fulfilling. Supporting her transition, sharing experiences, and fostering confidence reinforced my own learning. This role deepened my leadership, empathy, and communication skills, strengthening both our nursing journeys through mutual growth and encouragement.”
