Celestine Wee is a nursing lecturer at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) (Honours) at the National University of Singapore. She also furthered her studies and graduated with a Masters of Gerontology at the Singapore University of Social Sciences in 2020. As a registered nurse, she has worked in various disciplines including Geriatrics and Intensive Care Units.
During her clinical years as a nurse, she was involved in teaching new staff nurses and students. This sparked her interest and passion in teaching at higher institutes of learning. She started her teaching journey as an Adjunct lecturer in the School of Health and Social Sciences (Nursing) in Nanyang Polytechnic. She was involved in both academic teaching and clinical practicum for Nursing Diploma students. Her teaching style focuses on integrating theoretical knowledge with clinical practice.
With a keen interest in Gerontology, Celestine is passionate about equipping the next generation of nurses to meet the demands of an ageing population.
