Dr Rosalind Siah is a Senior Lecturer at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies (NUS Nursing), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She is also the Program Director (Clinical) at the National University of Singapore, which coordinates and facilitates clinical training for nursing students with industrial partners.

As the Program Director (Clinical), Dr Siah oversaw the operation and quality management of modules for the respective year, covering (i) curriculum development and implementation; (ii) curriculum evaluation; (iii) assessment matters; and (iv) student affairs matter related to clinical practice.

Dr Siah is both an educator and a researcher who attained her nursing qualification as a registered nurse in medical and surgical units of the Singapore General Hospital. Her teaching areas include medical-surgical nursing and gerontology. With her specialty in gerontology nursing, her research interests focus on age management practices, including mental well-being, functional health and caregiving for older adults, as well as nursing education, including technology-assisted teaching and learning approach.

As a passionate educator, Dr Siah continuously review evidence-based nursing practices to ensure current information being transferred to the students and consistently evaluate and explore effective teaching strategies to provide authentic student learning to meet the students’ needs. Other than publishing her works in international refereed journals and books, she also contributes as a reviewer for international journals. These ongoing effort and contribution earned her the SingHealth-Lee Foundation Excellence in Nursing Award and the CEO Best Clinician Award in Singapore General Hospital and Teaching Excellence Award in National University of Singapore.
