Dr. Eugene is a Lecturer at National University of Singapore (NUS)-Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and a trained NUSMed Life Coach. He is a Diplomate of the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine (PCOM). After finishing his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Santo Tomas in 2004, he worked at Perpetual Hospital-Manila. He also worked in several companies as an industrial and occupational health Physician. He was previously with the School of Health Sciences, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and had a stint as an Associate Lecturer with Curtin University – Perth, Australia (Singapore campus). Dr. Eugene was a visiting Physician and was involved in research at Hospital Universitari Clinic in Spain. While in Barcelona, he trained in the HIV and infectious diseases department of the Hospital Clinic. He completed his Global Health Diploma from the National Public Health Institute (KTL) and the University of Helsinki in Finland. He also completed a couple of medical exchanges in Charité Hospital (Berlin) and Medizinische Hochschule (Hannover) in Germany. At NUS, he is teaching Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathophysiology and was involved as a committee member of the National University Health System (NUHS) Total Workplace Safety & Health (TWSH). Dr. Eugene have extensive experience in using different Learning Management System (LMS) such as blackboard, IVLE, LumiNUS and CANVAS. In 2020, he was also involved in the COVID-19 mobile swab operation and serology testing of NUHS. On a lighter note, he is volunteer at Philippine Bayanihan Society-Singapore (PBSS) and FOWS. He also volunteer at the National Gallery Singapore (NGS).
