Dr Ang is a research fellow at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Prior to his current role, he practiced at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore as an oncology-hematology nurse.

Dr Ang’s clinical and research interests are in psychological resilience, oncology-hematology nursing, and palliative care. To date, he has conducted and published primary and secondary research using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. His current research program focuses on two research areas, (1) enhancing non-cognitive skills among young adults, and (2) improving supportive care for patients with cancer.

Dr Ang is a board member and secretary of the Asian Oncology Nursing Society. He is also a member of the editorial board of BMC Nursing, Frontiers in Public Health, and Frontiers in Psychiatry. He is also a peer reviewer for numerous international medical, nursing, and educational journals such as the Journal of Cancer Survivorship, Nurse Education Today, European Journal of Oncology Nursing, Journal of Nursing Management, and BMC Geriatrics.
